Detox Aid is a digital wellness application available on the Google Play Store, designed to help users build healthier, more intentional relationships with their devices. The App operates through three core pillars: precise App Usage Duration Calculation, strict Screen-time Enforcement, and secure On-device Monitoring.

We respect your privacy and are fully committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains in detail what information the App collects or processes, why it does so, how it is stored, and your rights regarding that information. This policy applies to all versions of Detox Aid distributed through the Google Play Store.

By downloading, installing, or using Detox Aid, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please uninstall the App and discontinue use.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information Processed On Your Device

Detox Aid is built on a privacy-first, offline-first architecture. All monitoring, calculation, and enforcement is performed locally on your device. The following categories of data are processed on-device to power core features:

• App usage statistics — which apps you used and for how long (to calculate usage duration and enforce limits)
• List of installed applications — used to let you define allow/block rules for specific apps
• User-configured schedules and time limits — your bedtime, focus hours, and per-app allowances
• Account credentials (login/signup) — stored securely in local on-device database (Room) only
• App restriction preferences — which apps are blocked, allowed, or set to limited access

None of the above information is transmitted to external servers, sold, rented, or shared with any third party.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically (Crash Reporting)

Detox Aid uses Firebase Crashlytics solely to collect anonymous, technical crash reports for the purpose of improving app stability. This is the only outbound network communication the App performs.

Crash reports may include the following technical data:

• Device manufacturer and model (e.g., Samsung Galaxy S21)
• Android OS version (e.g., Android 13)
• App version number
• Time and date of the crash
• Technical stack trace and error logs

Crash reports explicitly do NOT include:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or any personally identifying information
• Your app usage history or screen-time data
• Your login credentials or account information
• The content of any app you use
• Browser history, messages, photos, or files

3. How We Use Information

All information processed by Detox Aid is used exclusively for the following purposes:

• Calculating app usage duration and identifying screen-time patterns
• Enforcing user-defined screen-time limits by blocking access to restricted apps
• Displaying blocking overlays when a time limit or scheduled restriction is active
• Activating quiet hours, bedtime mode, or focus sessions at configured times
• Restarting protection features after device reboot to ensure continuous enforcement
• Sending anonymous crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics to improve app stability

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, marketing, or any purpose beyond what is listed above.

4. Android Permissions We Use and Why

Detox Aid requests certain Android system permissions to function correctly. Each permission is essential to a specific core feature. No permission is used for advertising, analytics, or data collection beyond anonymous crash reporting. The table below documents every permission used in the App, its purpose, and how data is handled.

All sensitive permissions (such as App Usage Access, Display Over Other Apps, and Battery Optimization Exemption) require explicit user action to enable. The App shows a clear explanation before requesting each permission, and users are directed to Android system settings to manually grant them.

5. Login, Signup & Account Data

Detox Aid includes a login and signup flow to allow users to personalize and secure their detox configuration. This account system is fully local — no data is sent to or stored on any external server.

• Account credentials (username, password hash) are stored exclusively in an on-device Room database
• No third-party authentication providers (e.g., Google Sign-In, Firebase Auth) are used
• No personal account information is transmitted over the network
• Uninstalling the App permanently and irrecoverably deletes all account data from the device

Because all account data is stored locally, we have no access to your credentials and cannot recover them if you forget your password or uninstall the App.

6. Data Storage and Security

We take the security of your data seriously. All data within Detox Aid is handled as follows:

• Storage location: All data is stored locally on your device using Android Room (SQLite database)
• No cloud storage: We do not operate any servers, databases, or cloud infrastructure to store user data
• Encryption: App data is protected by Android's built-in application sandboxing and storage isolation
• Data minimization: We only process the minimum data required for each feature to function
• Crash data: Anonymous crash reports sent to Firebase Crashlytics are governed by Google's security practices

While we implement reasonable technical measures to safeguard your data, please note that no method of on-device storage is completely impervious to unauthorized access if the device itself is compromised (e.g., rooted or physically accessed by another person).

7. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

Detox Aid does not sell, rent, license, or share your personal data with any third party for any purpose.

The only third-party integration in the App is:

We have no advertising partners, analytics providers, data brokers, or marketing integrations of any kind. No usage data, app lists, screen-time history, or account information is shared with any external entity.

8. Children's Privacy

Detox Aid is a wellness application designed for use by individuals aged 13 and above. The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 and is not designed to collect personal information from children.

We do not knowingly collect, use, or share personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used this App and provided personal information, please contact us at the email address below, and we will take appropriate steps. Because all data is stored locally on the device, we have no server-side records to review, but we will assist you in understanding how to remove data from the device.

9. Your Rights and Controls

You have full control over your data and permissions at all times:

• Revoke permissions: Go to Android Settings > Apps > Detox Aid > Permissions to revoke any permission at any time. Note that revoking core permissions (e.g., Usage Access) will disable related features.
• Delete your data: Uninstalling the App permanently removes all locally stored data, including your account and preferences. This action is irreversible.
• Crash reporting: You can effectively opt out of crash reporting by revoking the INTERNET permission in Android settings.
• Access your data: Since all data is on your device, you have direct access to it. The App does not maintain any server-side profile for you.
• Right to erasure: Because we hold no data on external servers, there is no server-side data to delete. Uninstalling the App constitutes full erasure.

10. Data Retention

Detox Aid retains data only as long as the App is installed on your device. Because all data is stored locally:

• Usage data, schedules, preferences, and account information are retained on the device until you uninstall the App or manually clear the App's data through Android settings.
• Anonymous crash reports submitted to Firebase Crashlytics are retained by Google for up to 90 days as per Firebase's standard data retention policy.
• No other data retention obligations apply because we do not maintain external servers or databases.

11. Compliance

Detox Aid is designed to comply with applicable privacy laws and platform requirements, including:

• Google Play Store Developer Program Policies — all permissions are declared and justified in the Play Console
• Google Play Data Safety Form — accurately reflects our data practices (no personal data collected, no data sharing)

For users, processing of anonymous crash data via Firebase Crashlytics is based on our legitimate interest in maintaining app stability and quality. No personal data is processed on external servers for any other purpose.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our App, legal requirements, or best practices. When we make material changes, we will:
